Nestled in the heart of Chatham, NY, Yianni's Chatham House offers a distinctive New American dining experience that artfully blends classic comfort with inventive culinary flair. This inviting restaurant has rightfully earned its reputation as a go-to destination for both locals and visitors craving dishes that satisfy deep cravings while showcasing thoughtful creativity.
The menu at Yianni's is a celebration of diverse flavors and textures. Land lovers are treated to standout options like the Crew Burger, a classic masterpiece loaded with bacon and sharp cheddar, crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, and onions, all nestled inside a sturdy hard roll. It’s served alongside crispy French fries, tangy cole slaw, and a crunchy pickle, creating a balanced bite full of contrasting flavors and textures. For a more upscale indulgence, the Filet Mignon Petite or double cut—perfectly tender cuts finished with a rich demiglace and herb garlic butter—deliver a sublime savoriness that delights the palate with every forkful.
Seafood and pasta lovers will find comfort and excitement in Yianni’s pasta offerings. The Linguine alla Bolognese captivates with its traditional meat sauce, a hearty, comforting dish that evokes family gatherings and warm kitchens. Meanwhile, the Cioppino pasta is a seafood lover’s dream: succulent lobster, clams, mussels, shrimp, and scallops, all simmered in your choice of sauce—be it delicately bright white, rich red, or fiery fra diablo—served over delicate strands of capellini. The complexity and freshness of the seafood combine to create an irresistible coastal feast right in the heartland.
For those seeking a different twist, the sushi selections provide a playful yet refined touch. The Crazy Tuna roll layers tuna and avocado beneath a spicy tuna topping laced with spicy mayo, crunchies, and scallions, offering a delightful dance of creamy, spicy, and crunchy elements. The Stay Fun roll spices things up further with baked white fish, cucumber, shrimp, and avocado, a blend that manages to be both light and flavorful, perfect for adventurous palates.
Yianni’s lively yet comfortable atmosphere complements the food beautifully. Guests frequently praise the attentive and knowledgeable staff who strike the ideal balance between being friendly and respectful of diners’ space. The bar area, with its eclectic charm and coveted window-side booths, invites relaxed gatherings and memorable conversations, though some have noted it could benefit from a bit of freshening up to match the energy of the culinary offerings.
The restaurant's outdoor patio offers a charming option for alfresco dining, enhancing the appeal during warmer months and providing a cozy spot to savor Yianni's generous portions and rich flavors. While a few diners have experienced slower service during busy times, the consistent warmth and competence of the servers keep the overall experience enjoyable.

We went on a Tuesday evening...arrived 5:30 and were seated right away. Our waiter couldn't have been lovelier- answered questions readily, attentive without being smothering- top notch. The ambiance in the bar area (we had the highly prized window side booth) while eclectic...is a little tired (and cobwebby) The 4 of us opted for no drinks- just waters...and 2 of us went with the special of a fried seafood sampler. (More batter than seafood- which was light and crispy...but lots of it. Coleslaw had lots of peppers & corn in it- which while strange was tasty...fries were excellent and seemed to be hand cut and twice fried- really good!) Another at our table had the fish n chips- similar feeling regarding the batter to fish ratio...and diner 4 had a house salad and one of their flat bread offerings which seemed the best at the table. (She had leftovers it was so generous!) Prices were a bit high for what we got...but again- the service was excellent! Dessert was offered- and while tempted- we decided against it. (Options were good though!)

We brought a group of 17 to Yianni’s on Saturday evening for a celebratory dinner. We had gathered old friends together for a vow renewal for my wife and I, and an unofficial college reunion. Some of the attendees we hadn’t seen in decades. Your wait staff was fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious! Kudos to the kitchen, who pulled it all off with style. Freshly baked bread, oysters, well prepared and presented appetizers and mains, fantastic seasonal cocktails, and just the perfect ambience. Thank you for making our little gathering a success and helping us to create more lasting memories. Huzzah!

It was our first time there, and everything from the atmosphere, to the food, and service was excellent! We’ll definitely be back. Special shout out to Morgan, our server, she was outstanding!

The location is charming with a cute outdoor patio. The menu has great options that are reasonably priced. The portion sizes are excellent and the food is good. The service was slow. We waited 10 minutes for the hostess and 10 for our server. Once food was ordered we waited another 45 minutes for two pasta dishes and a burger. Our server was friendly and competent however her role was also bartender to a full bar.

This has become our go to place. They have great straightforward stuff like burgers and fried chicken but then they have everything else! The menu is really extensive. Last night I had scallops with mac & cheese and it was ridiculous. My wife loved the fried chicken!

We started with the calamari it was very tender and it came with a milder spiced sauce and red cherry peppers and jalapeño peppers. My wife had the goat cheese and apple salad with arugula and salmon. She said it was delicious and I had the black and blue burger with bacon, avocado, tomato, and onion along with sweet potato fries. It was delicious if we come this way again we will definitely stop.

This is a revision of my previous comments on the restaurant. I got them restaurant mixed up with another one in an entirely different town. At Yanni's I had lunch with friends. We each had an excellent meal. The food, the atmosphere, and the service was just excellent. I had their special which was actually egg rolls. I apologize to the owner for the saying the wrong things and getting the restaurant mixed up with one that I was at in Buffalo New York a few days before.
